That’s a hoot.
The owner Mike Perry is an idiot. Any true barista knows that there is more to pulling a shot than just pressing the button to activate the pump: grinding, tamping, pressure adjustments, keeping the espresso machine from clogging with lime throughout the day. Unfortunately, most Starbucks use a major machine that does everything for the barista, all they have to do is clean it and remove the old grinds. Those all-in-one machines, unfortunately, do not make as good of a cup of coffee as a machine that only does the pumping whilst the barista has to do almost everything else him-/herself.
