i think the personality map is really interesting, especially that the most neurotic people are centered around NYC and the northeast, haha.

i guess that kid paid attention during the bus drills that happen a couple of times a year, because i don’t think i would have remembered to pull the emergency break during a real problem like this. and, once that didn’t work, i wouldn’t have ever thought to drive the bus into something to stop it. although, i’ve never had to think quickly in an emergency like this so i’m not sure how i would really react.

AU does much better if you look at it this way!
this is such a great idea. people forget that along with tuition, textbooks can run you $500-$1000+ per year. i have yet to use the CD-ROMs that come with textbooks, and some professors say that an older edition is fine because the new edition is the same except for one chapter. a rental service would be great, too. there’s a couple of books that i only have to use for 2 weeks during the semester and then i don’t need it again.
plus, reselling textbooks is a bitch. you can get more money if you sell them online, but it’s just a hassle to ship them out individually. the bookstore gives you PENNIES, even if you never touched the book and it just sat on your shelf for a semester. some of my smaller paperbacks that were $12-$15 i got $2 for, then the bookstore will resell them as “used” for about $10. it’s not fair to the students, especially if the book is the newest edition and has hardly been used.
